There at the edge of the garden
We stand, looking away from each other,
As if you don’t know me –
As if I don’t care –

… and the seasons flow above us, silently…

Over the rotating edge
Off the windy cliffs upon the sea
One of us will disappear
While the other looks on
Looking away –
As if he didn’t care –
As if she didn’t see –

… and the seasons will flow …
